How do I apply?
Applying is simple. Complete our online Contact Us form or give us a call. We will then contact you to discuss the role and send you a link to our portal so you can register your details.
What if I don’t have a CV?
We recommend keeping your CV up to date at all times. If you don’t currently have one, it’s important to create one so employers can review your previous roles and experience. If you need support, guidance is available on our website.
What documents do I need to register?
The documents required for registration will depend on your nationality. Our team will advise you on exactly what documentation you need during the registration process.
I don’t have a share code – can I still register for work?
Unfortunately, without a share code we are unable to proceed with a job application, as this is required under Right to Work legislation.
How do I submit my hours?
Our clients submit your hours to us on your behalf. If you work any overtime, please inform us so we can ensure your pay is processed correctly. You must follow the clocking in and out procedures at your place of work to ensure you get paid correctly.
When will I get paid?
When employed by Oak Employment, you are paid weekly on a Friday. Payment is made one week in arrears, meaning you are paid for the week worked before the payment date. As a result, when your assignment ends, you will receive one final payment the following week even though you are no longer working.
Who do I contact if I’m sick?
Good timekeeping and attendance are essential in any role. If you are unwell and feel your illness will significantly affect your ability to work, you should contact the workplace as soon as possible so alternative arrangements can be made. You should also inform Oak Employment so we can record your absence.
Do I have to pay into a pension?
In line with government guidelines, all workers are who are eligible, will automatically be enrolled into the NEST pension scheme after 12 weeks. We will notify you in advance and provide instructions on how to opt out if you do not wish to contribute. Opting out is straightforward, simply log in to your NEST account and select the opt-out option.
Will I need specific clothing for my role?
Before you start work, we will explain the client’s expectations regarding clothing. Most warehouse roles require steel toe cap safety shoes.
Can I book time off?
Any planned time off should be discussed with both the employer and Oak Employment. We ask that you provide as much notice as possible so alternative arrangements can be made. Consistent attendance and punctuality are highly valued by our clients.
Am I guaranteed a full-time job?
At the start of each assignment, we will explain whether there is an opportunity for the role to lead to full-time employment. Some roles are offered on a temp to perm basis, meaning you work through Oak Employment for a period of time before transferring to the client’s payroll as a permanent employee. This is dependent on performance and attendance. Full-time employment cannot be guaranteed. If a role is not temp to perm, this will always be made clear before you begin.
